Patience

Patience seems to come with maturity.  It is a virtue most definitely worth practicing, but somehow time makes it easier.  Once a colleague said to me, "You have the patience of Job!"  I don't know that I would have been so patient if I did not deal with children.  My career seemed to have been dependent on tolerance and patients.  Two virtues I most definitely nurtured and benefited from acquiring.
