FOOD FOR THOUGHT: A Mother and Daughter's Love

When I think of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the state of "Black" folks and our present day affairs my heart weeps. I then begin to wonder, "What would Martin do?"

Our education system is failing, unemployment is rampant, imprisonment of young black males is at a startling high, crime rate and gang infestation is a constant menace to society and in the minds of many all hope is gone or at best faded. What would Martin do?

There is one thing I do know. He wouldn't sit around sulking. He most definitely saw the glass half-full.

With all the dire circumstances cited above, the other side of that coin boost enormous progress. Under his leader ship African-Americans made great strides and when Black folks rise all of America's minorities rise with us. What did Martin do?
