Reality TV

Reality shows are the new "Soup Operas."  They invade our personal lives and we become totally entwined with the week to week issues unfolding before our eyes.  The characters are larger then life, the storylines intriguing and the themes habitual.

Like the Soap Opera the main character changes with the event highlighted for the week.  It is designed to emphasize approximately five minutes of story for each leading roll, but some story lines are more interesting then others therefore, we see a clear hero/heroin evolve.

Clearly the title is a peep into the topic with a social and economical twist.  That twist is presented in the setting and lifestyles unfamiliar to the average viewer.

So what makes it reality? It's the unraveling of the plot.  The spontaneity of the puzzle.  The here and now that happens with the flow of adrenalin which happens in the moment.  The monologues which try to explain the pain they are faced with when the heart opens and the face behind the mask is revealed.

Some might say it is therapy at its best!  A word to the wise, it might seem to be relatable, but please remember the social/economical effects impacting their situation.  It is not at all similar to the average day surroundings of the viewers.

At the end of the day it is reality "TV" folks!
